Message from the CEO

The era of hardware competition is over.
What we need now is an “OS” that transforms the sky into social infrastructure.

The drone industry is now at a major turning point.
The competition for hardware performance has matured, and inexpensive, high-performance drones are widely available around the world. However, when it comes to solving Japan’s social challenges—wildlife damage, labor shortages, aging infrastructure—they are still far from fully utilized.
The biggest reason is that the “brain” that operates the drones (AI) and the “environment” required for social adoption (laws and operational frameworks) remain disconnected.

We at Micro Drone Japan are not a hardware manufacturer.
Instead, we identify the most suitable “bodies” from the world’s leading drones, equip them with our proprietary AI analytics and autonomous control—the “brain”—and add the “social layer” of legal compliance and insurance.
Just as smartphones transformed daily life through their operating systems, we aim to evolve drones from simple machines into social infrastructure for the skies.
Through the development and implementation of our DaaS (Drone as a Service) platform, we are working to make this vision a reality.

Our goal is not a future where one manufacturer wins, but a future where drones naturally protect people’s safety.
By solving Japan’s pressing challenges through technology and building a safer, more resilient society, we aim to make drones an everyday part of our social infrastructure.
As a provider of the OS for the skies, we will continue pushing forward—rewriting the foundation of the next generation of industry.

    Hayato Kaneda

    Born in March 1990. After joining an education company as a new graduate, he worked in human resources, education, and regional development.
    After launching numerous new business initiatives, he became independent with a commitment to “designing visions and building value together” through management.

    In 2016, he founded nameless,inc., a company that supports new business creation rooted in the concept of “Produce Thinking®.”

    Since 2021, as a member of the Team Energy Group, he has been driving 0→1 business creation across diverse fields, including regional development, education, and AI initiatives.

    Since 2023, he has overseen cross-group new company creation and corporate branding as a whole.

    He is currently a core member of Team Energy’s “Co-Management Forest” initiative, working to translate Eiichi Shibusawa’s principle of “the unity of morality and economy” into a modern context and to build an ecosystem that generates a succession of companies with a market capitalization of 10 billion yen.
